只不過是高雄捷運的英文全稱罷了。

事實上，高雄捷運這個主題我已經寫過了(詳見敝站「高雄捷運」一文)
上一篇是用搭乘過臺北捷運及嘉義BRT的身份來寫，
所以會比較著重在特色及比較差異的部份。

這一篇我以「介紹高捷給外國朋友」的角度來撰寫，
並且我會以英文來記錄，
不是我英文特別好，要向您烙英文，
我只是想試試用英語及不同的看法寫，
所以，這兩篇的內容將會不一樣，
期待您的「批閱」。

當然，如果文中有單字用錯亦或是文法錯誤，
也麻煩拿出紅筆改一改(千萬不要情不自禁地畫在您的螢幕上......XD)

Hi,friends. Welcome to Kaohsiung, It's very proud of me to introduce Kaohsiung MRT to you. I think you have a question, “What is MRT ?” right? In fact, MRT is just like Underground in London, UK, but not all the route of MRT under the ground. There are three rapid transit system in Taiwan, One is Taipei MRT, another is Chiayi BRT, the other is today's subject, Kaohsiung MRT. As what I said, Kaohsiung MRT is the one of them.

In the early route map, it only has three lines. There are Red Line, Orange Line and Cyan Line(trams). Red Line has started for three months. Orange Line will start in August. Cyan Line will build in soon! After about 30 years, far route complete We can travel around Kaohsiung by MRT! Even Pingtung and Tainan.

Let's start on Red Line!

Kaohsiung MRT Red Line is north-south line. From station R3 Siaogang(Xiaogang 小港) to R24 Gangshan Sonth (南岡山), it connect downtowns in City and County. It also pass trough central Kaohsiung, Zuoying and Kaohsiung Int'l Airport, so you can change transport to take TRA, HSR and airplane. Take the MRT in Kaohsiung isn't very hard. Kaohsiung MRT Company will extend the Red Line. North to Ganshan(岡山) even to Lujhu(Luzhu 路竹), sonth to Linyuan(林園) and Donggang (東港).

Then let me continue introduce Orange Line.

Orange Line is east-west line. From station O1 Sizihwan (Xiziwan 西子灣) to OT1 Daliao(大寮), the route pass trough Kaohsisung City Council, Cultural Centre and Fongshan (Fengshan 鳳山). There are all teeming place. Red Line and Orange Line cross at O5 Formosa Boulevard Station(美麗島站).

Wanna take the MRT to travel around Kaohsiung? Here are some information. If you enjoy shopping, you can take to R6 Kaisyuan (Kaixüan 凱旋) station, than take the connection bus to Uni Dream Mall. Go to R7 Shihjia (Shijia 獅甲) station, Costco Wholesales is near by. If you like nightmarket in Taiwan, R10 Formosa Boulevard Station(美麗島站) and R11 Kaohsiung Main Station is your best choose. Why? Because one of famous nighmarket---Liouhe (Liuhe) Nighmarket (六合夜市) just righ here.

Don't like shopping all the time? Want to see something special? Cijing (Qijing 旗津), Sizihwan (Xiziwan 西子灣), Love River (愛河), or Urban Spotligh (城市光廊)? Some of the space is a little far from the MRT route, but don't worry, you can tale a bus or ship! Bus in Kaohsiung now is such as in Taipei, better than several years ago. Go to O1 Sizihwan Station then take a ship, Cijing will be in your eyes. Taking the bus "Red 27" form R11 Kaohsiung Main Station and then you can get to Love River! Urban Spotligh seems beautiful, just take to R9 Central Park Station and go out form exit No.1and walk for 3 minutes. On the way, you can see the public art called "Fly "(飛揚). I think Central Park Station is the most beautiful station of Kaohsiung MRT.

After my introduce, do you want to go now? Take your time and let me give you more information. If you want to stay in Kaohsiung for several days. You can buy a " I Pass Cards" It can save a lot of time on buy ticket every times. It also can use to take the bus. A "I Pass Card" costs you NTD 200. NTD100 is the money what you can use, another NTD100 is the card dues. If you just want to stay for a day, go to any MRT station and buy an "I Pass Card--One Day Cars". A "I Pass Card--One Day Cars" costs you NTD 200, you can take the MRT without limit times. Before you have to leave, you can return the card and get back the forgift NTD70. In other words, taking the MRT just cost you NTD 130. "I Pass Card--One Day Card" can't take the bus, please be careful.
